CRS Courses

General Information

In today's competitive marketplace, education can make the difference between success and failure. The seven CRS Courses, considered the best in the residential real estate industry, cover relevant topics that enable real estate agents to gain that competitive lead in an ever- changing industry. Each course is packed with techniques and information to help students increase productivity and earnings, while being on the cutting edge of education.

The Council of Residential Specialists presents two-day learning experiences in listing, selling, residential investments, referrals, and more. All courses have been revised and updated to ensure that students receive the most current information and techniques available. CRS Chapters, state associations and local boards sponsor the CRS Courses. Please see the course schedule and call the individual course sponsor for registration information and tuition cost.

Prior to purchasing non-refundable transportation to a course, please confirm with the course sponsor that no arrangements have been changed. The Sponsor is not liable for any non-refundable tickets that are not used due to course arrangement changes.

Examinations

The CRS Course examination is given on the last afternoon of the course. Students passing the exam will receive an official certificate of completion approximately 4-6 weeks after the course. Students are required to take the exam at the course. Should a student fail the examination, a re-examination may be arranged through the Council. Only one re-examination will be permitted. No grade information will be given over the phone.

Continuing Education Credit

eLearning Course offer you the opportunity to solve real-world real estate issues using a learn-by-doing approach. eLearning courses can be taken at anytime and from any computer with an Internet connection. Upon successful completion, you will earn one-unit of elective credit toward the CRS Designation.

The updated CRS educational offerings not only provide agents with a well-rounded base to pursue a successful residential real estate career, but also will increase their profitability immediately. These two-day courses range in topics from business planning to investments as well as a new one specifically tailored to enhancing referrals.

CRS 200 - Business Planning & Marketing for the Residential Specialist - A strong foundation is the key to building a successful real estate career. This course helps students learn the fundamentals of business planning. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to identify the benefits of a business plan, develop income goals using the budgeting process, and create a marketing plan to meet their goals and objectives. These business essentials will generate increased profit and productivity.

CRS 201 - Listing Strategies for the Residential Specialists - The quality of an individual's listing skills can give him or her a strong competitive edge. Only those professionals who learn proven listing strategies will win over the client and increase their conversion rate. This course provides students with the important skills necessary to conduct successful listing presentations, price a home to sell, close the transaction, and market and promote effectively. The course takes students through an actual listing presentation them helps them understand the key steps in this process and create a system for success.

CRS 202 - Effective Buyer Sales Strategies - Top sales associates enjoy a competitive advantage because they understand what motivates and influences their customers. This course gives students the inside track to win over prospective buyers by teaching them the necessary strategies that make their sales quick and efficient. Students learn how to work with today's new buyer through counseling, salesmanship and negotiation. These effective strategies will give the student customers for life.

CRS 204 - Creating Wealth Through Residential Real Estate Investments - More people have become wealthy investing in real estate than many other investments. Agents who want to learn the specific secrets to smart real estate investments can discover them in this course. Students will learn how to identify the right opportunities, compare real estate with other investments and create additional wealth - for themselves and their clients.

CRS 206 - Technologies to Advance Your Business - This course demonstrates the latest tools and systems that enable sales associates to become more productive, increase their profits and to differentiate themselves in the market place. Topics include: taking E-mail to the next level, learning new ways to use digital imaging, examining a variety of virtual tours, understanding the power of PDAs and other handheld computing technologies, and much more.

CRS 210 - Building an Exceptional Customer Service Referral Business - This is a highly interactive course designed to deliver all the essentials for refocusing the student's business plan to a customer-service centered, repeat and referral business. The information provided will help identify the expectations of the "new consumer," the "new behaviors" necessary to meet those expectations, and specific systems to make the agent's business more productive, more profitable and more enjoyable.
