Chapter President
  • Chief Executive Officer of the Chapter
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Repsonsible for the management and direction of the Chapter
  • Attend National Meetings
  • Set Chapter goals
  • Conduct business meetings
  • Communicate with Council staff and Regional Vice President
  • Chair Board of Directors
  • Previous Year's President Elect
President Elect
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Assist the President in the management and direction of the Chapter
  • Attend all chapter meetings.
  • Handle special assignments or project as directed by the President.
  • Serve as Area VP Coordinator
  • Attend National Meetings
  • Attend the annual leadership training retreat offered by the Council
  • Assume duties of the President in his/her absence
  • Automatically assumes the position of President at the end of the President's term
  • Must be a designated member in good standing of the Chapter, Council and NAR
  • Must have served on the Chapter Board of Directors within the last three years
  • Must have served as chair of a committee within the last three years
Secretary
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Responsible for taking minutes of all meetings
  • Forward completed minutes to Administrator for final distribution within two (2) weeks following the conclusion of the meeting
  • None
Treasurer
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Review financial records
  • Prepare annual budget
  • Monitor the disbursement of funds
  • Conduct annual audit
  • Provide periodic financial reports to board
  • Ensure Chapter is properly incorporated as a nonprofit association
  • This position is a two year commitment

Immediate Past President
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Chair of the Strategic Planning & Nominating committees
  • The most important duty is to be available in an advisory capacity to current executive board

AVP Coordinator
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Assist all Area Vice Presidents in recruitment of new chapter members and reinstatement of past chapter member
  • Provide AVP's with information of events such as GRI and CRS courses, or any other functions that may allow an opportunity for chapter member recruitment.
  • Assist in tracking AVP recruited members and prepare a quarterly report for each membership meeting
  • Current Year's President Elect
Chapter Awards Committee
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Promote and solicit donations for Chapter With A Heart charity from membership at quarterly meetings
  • Take photos of events and submit to administrator for inclusion in quarterly newsletter and on web site
  • Assist in article development for newsletters
  • None
Communications Committee
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Assist AVP Coordinator
  • Develop/compose articles for Chapter newsletter, including "member spotlight" interview and article formulation
  • Submit completed articles to Chapter Administrator for inclusion in quarterly newsletter
  • None
Education Committee
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Plan and schedule Chapter sponsored CRS courses
  • Negotiate Instructor Fees
  • Designate a Chapter representative to attend CRS courses throughout the entire Chapter area to promote chapter membership
  • Assist or designate someone to assist Chapter Administrator with on-site course preparation
  • None
Membership Committee
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Develop and activate a phone tree with volunteers to call and email membership prior to each quarterly meeting/event to increase attendance
  • Contact other CRS course sponsors for list of their attendees
  • Promote attainment of the designation and assist candidate members to fulfill the requirements for designation
  • Develop and conduct recruiting programs to increase and maintain membership including those who have dropped out of the Council & Chapter (reinstatement rebate program)
  • Personally welcome new members and new Designees
  • Contact non-members who participate in Chapter activities and encourage them to join
  • None
Programs Committee
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Obtain speakers for quarterly meetings
  • Negotiate speaking fee and expenses
  • Work with selected speakers to determine their topics, develop marketing material and forward forward info to Administrator
  • Plan and promote regular Chapter meetings
  • None
Public Relations Committee
  • Attend All Board/Planning Meetings
  • Organize promotion of the CRS Designation to the trade and public
  • Organize Chapter booth at the state convention
  • Develop and send out press releases promoting Chapter activities, awards, events, etc.

Strategic Planning Committee
  • Develop a mission statement and long-range plan for the Chapter
  • Reassess the effectiveness of the plan each year
  • Assign appropriate goals to committees
  • None
Corporate Sponsor Development Committee
  • Identify, contact & obtain corporate sponsors for the Chapter
  • None
Area Vice President
  • Attend A Minimum of 2 Board Meetings during the year plus the annual Planning Meeting
  • Attend Quarterly Membership Meetings
  • Contact Local Board Presidents/Education Chairs/Executive Officers/WCR chapters asking them to promote CRS events in their publications and on their web sites
  • Provide those mentioned above with Chapter's Calendar of events
  • Personally promote Chapter events at local Association/Board meetings and local marketing meeting
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining Chapter members
  • Contact your area Chapter members a minimum of twice prior to quarterly meetings
  • Help obtain sponsors for Chapter sponsored events in your area
  • Assist Education Chair with CRS courses held in your area; attend courses and promote Chapter membership/benefits
  • Be a visible and vocal advocate for the Chapter
